MAKE SOME BUTTON UP MITTS...

When the weather turns a little chilly, throw on a pair of these stripy mitts to keep your hands warm. Fingerless gloves or MITTS are so much better than bulky gloves - they keep your hands warm AND your fingers free to drive, type, cook, knit etc. Get the free pattern from the Cherry Heart Blog (click on this link to get there).

The gloves are really great in a hard wearing and washable cotton yarn. Mix and match stripes, colours, buttons - these can really be customised to anyone's style. Approximately 6 mini 10g balls of Vinni's Colours Nikkim in 6 different colours were used to make these stripy ones in the pictures, which were size small (cast on 32 stitches). Fully adjustable sizing to fit any wrist size.

...OR TRY AN ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS VERSION...

This pattern is for mitts with a row of buttons and button holes, which makes a stylish look (pictured), but if you're a beginner, try this simplified version (no button holes) from RepeatCrafterMe or just make a rectangle and sew up the sides for the absolute beginners version!
