Autumn signals cooler days and nights...the in between season when the temperature dips, but it's not cold enough for winter woolies yet.
This is the perfect time for a light weight jersey like this one from Hooked on Home Made Happiness (follow the link for the pattern and instructions). This simple sweater looks great and keeps you just the right temperature. It features a flattering boat neck and looks way more difficult than it is to crochet.
All you need is 2 rectangles and then you add sleeves. And you make the rectangles longer or shorter as you go until you are happy with the size.
The original pattern from Hooked on Home Made Happiness calls for an international brand yarn, but I made this lime green version of the jersey in a soft and flowing South African bamboo/cotton blend. A thin wool could work too, as could a straight up 100% bamboo (but be prepared for this to stretch a bit on wearing) - any yarn really as long as you measure against your body as you go! What could be easier?
